About Me

Born in Toronto, Ontario, I spent the first few years of my life living in Toronto then Mississauga. In the early 2000's I moved to the city of Stoney Creek, Ontario where I still happily reside. My first musical experience was singing with the world-renound Hamilton Children's Choir which later led to private study of piano and voice. I began to study piano and voice at the age of four and six and entered many festivals, competiitons, and examinations for piano and voice. In the summer of 2016, I had the opportunity to join 40 youth from accross the provice to sing in the Ontario Youth Choir as they travelled accross the provice on tour during the month of August.

Musical Background

My musical education carrer began durin the later part of grade 12. I accepted a position as music director and organist at St. Giles United Church in Hamilton, Ontario. This position is what influenced me to continue to study music as my major during my undergrad. During my time at St. Giles, my love of conducting choirs and playing piano and organ for their Sunday worship servies became apparent. Before accepting this position at Glenn Arbour Academy, I have taught piano and vocie privetly for several years, working for various music studios in Hamilton, Burlington, and Cayuga.

Undergraduate Degree

I began my undergraduate degree in 2013 at McMaster University studying music full-time (vocal) with a minor in Canadian History. Over my four years at McMaster, I worked with many prestiguous musicians including Richard Cunningham, Rachel Rensink-Hoff, and David Garry. I completed my undergraduate degree in April of 2017.

Teachers' Education

In September of 2017, I attended Redeemer University College in Ancaster in their Bachelor of Education Program. This program expanded my knowledge on what it means to be an educator and how to share my gifts as a musician to my students. My goal is to inspire my students each and every day with my love of music and teach them how to develop that relationship with music themselves.  I graduated from Redeemer's Education program in May of 2019 with a Beachelor of Education.

What about free time?

In my free time I enjoy being outside; hiking, biking, and camping. I am also the music director at Trinity United Church in Beamsville where I enjoy leading my dedicated choir and playing the piano and organ each week.  You will also catch me reading a good book- of course a good book is something about Canadian History!
